Purpose:

The Inside Sales Representative will work with sales management, customers, and internal members to provide outstanding sales support. This position will be responsible for contacting potential customers, coordinating with sales to provide suitable solution documentation to customers, sales orders and customer quotes. This position will work with our customers and production team to input and organize all daily sales orders as well as support many additional internal office and business functions.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for handling the input of all daily sales orders, generating work orders and following up on all customer inquiries. The Inside Sales Representative will help address any new customer or vendor concerns and ensure proper set-up and processing of initial orders. The list below is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time;

  • Answer and respond to incoming phone calls from customers and vendors
  • Understand customer relationships in order to recognize and take advantage of opportunities to grow the business, while improving the overall internal processes
  • Conscientiously update and organize customer files and contracts
  • Support of sales requests to ensure we meet and exceed customer’s expectations
  • Follow-up of all orders to ensure they are processing on-time
  • Maintain customer accounts and efficiently process customer and vendor returns and credits
  • Support continuous improvement and quality objectives

Necessary Skills:

  • Good understanding of order processing and business/office documentation
  • Knowledge of manufacturing facilities is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize work and work accurately under pressure of deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Good reasoning skills & decision making abilities with a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task and prioritize work
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service driven
  • Highly effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Effectively communicate to top management, vendors, customers and other employees of the organization

Requirements:

  • Previous experience preferred
  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field preferred
